We should not engage in the Nuclear Deal with Iran. Iran has always had the intentions of dominating the eastern world. They have always had problems with their neighboring countries; Like the Iran-Iraq War, disputes with Saudi Arabia, and Israel. They have had problems with America and westernized countries for decades. The deal makes war more likely in the future because money given to Iran could be used to build a stronger military.
The Articles of Confederation fail to give guidance to the states. The government is too weak. There is too much democracy. Majorities are forming based on special interests; which, make minorities almost irrelevant. Shays' Rebellion should be a good enough reason to show you why we need the constitution ratified. How can there be more liberty and freedom when the amount we have now is destroying democracy. The Constitution needs to be ratified and make a large republic for the states. This does not mean that your freedom will be sacrificed. There will be a separation of powers that limits the power the government would hold.
agreed. we still need to learn about these parts of our history to completely understand it.
I do not think race is talked about too much. I think that if a student is planning to take any type of history or government class, race is going to be discussed because it needs to be discussed. Mississippi Studies talked about slavery and segregation, World History talks about the Columbian Exchange and slave trade, US History obviously talked about race, and just about every year and grade a topic about race is brought up. Like we would not understand alot of things if we did not understand slavery and segregation and discrimination. Like there are laws and amendments that every person should know based on race and it's important to understand why it is an amendment and why it is a law and what events happened to make it an amendment or law. You have to learn the history to not repeat it, and maybe if Race was talked about more then there would not be such a huge problem with it today.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
