I think in the case of covid-19 boosters, the media should demand you take it. Might sound silly, but we have a moral imperative to protect others. That being said refusing the vaccine is objectively immoral, except for medical exemptions. I will go further and say the media should demand we take the flu vaccine. The flu vaccine saved 40,000 people over 9 years let alone hospitalizations. A hospitalization at the wrong time can derail a person's life. Loss of college education and tuition. Career nipped in the bud. Not only that but privilege works through obliviousness, the immune compromised get hit the hardest. Meaning inaction is ableist. Side: Demand you take it

The media should ask the hard question do we have a moral imperative to protect people suffering from immune compromised disability? Yes, we do. When people think of totalitarians and kleptocracy they think off innocents being persecuted. Perhaps even worse is protecting the guilty. Rape for example is the easiest violent crime to get away with because the guilty are very well protected. Therefore, with men being overprotected women are under-protected. People suffering from disability are more likely to die from covid-19. Blacks and Indigenous peoples are also more likely. By simply allowing the disinformation dozen to spread their vile propaganda and giving them too many protection we are creating a form of systematic racism and ableism. By allowing people to get religious exemption from covid-19 all willy-nilly we are causing harm. A few historic trauma examples to show how villains use a lassiez-faire approach to disease to kill. European invaders allowed smallpox and other terrible diseases to spread to their advantage against Indigenous peoples historically.
