Bible verses are my favorite quotes such as Romans 8:28-30, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." However, going secular, then I would say Thomas Hobbes' quote, which pertains to Christian theology from a "secular" source: “Men are freed of their covenants two ways; by performing; or by being forgiven. For performance, is the natural end of obligation; and forgiveness, the restitution of liberty; as being a retransferring of that right, in which the obligation consisted.” 1

"The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits." Albert Einstein The relevance and truth of this can't be expressed in words. 1

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And then one fine morning— So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." This quote from The Great Gatsby has slowly become my all-time favorite. It illustrates that while life is generally a losing battle, we all can and will march forth with optimism and hope. While our ultimate goals glide farther and farther away, we perpetually pursue and believe. 1
