Sorry for the long post, please read!

Well I want to say yes and no. Yes because my aunt experienced racism quite recently. We live in Columbus, Ohio and there is a city called Gahanna. This is supposedly the "White City". We went to a school uniform store to buy school uniforms. My aunt walked up to the door, and it was locked. She thinking they haven't opened yet, we wait in the car to wait till they open and unlock the door.

Meanwhile two Caucasian women go up to the door and the staff unlocks and opens the door, then my aunt goes up because she thinks it's now open and the door is locked. She goes back in her car and another black women showed up, it was also locked for her.

The staff let more white people in and they are just standing there shocked. Me and my family are very civilized people, not like the ghetto blacks you see. The problem is that in EVERY race, people put the bad people in the spotlight and don't even bother to show the hard working, productive people most of the time, and that is why all people of one race is a bad image.

Me, I am a lighter skin color, but not light skinned. I make friend very easily, and lots of people say I'm beautiful. I do wear "White Clothes" as they say (Forever 21, Delia's, Abercrombie & Finch, and others). I say this because this affects your image to people. My aunt is a darker skin color and wasn't wearing her best outfit (t-shirt, baggy pants), her hair was in a simple ponytail.

I only experienced very light racism once and that was when one of my best friends before we were friends said that she thought that I was going to be that ghetto mean girl and I'm not. (She was white) I've also experienced stereotypes too, I said that I don't like chicken and another friend of mine said that she was surprised to hear that (I am going vegetarian)

I say no because now today, racism is viewed as bad, stupid, senseless and so on, and it isn't supported like it was back then. I say it is uncommon today, but it still happens...

For some. I think we've come a long way though .

Yes. Its will always exist...when people say they are color blind, they mean they are blinded by color. To categorize individuals based on the color of their skin is ridiculous. We have come a long way but there will never be peace, equality, love, or true color-blindness until the homo-sapiens die out. There needs to be more focus on other racism not just against "black" people...there's racism throughout the races toward each other.

No, this dude is a "Clayton Bigsby" he is wrong, blacks need those things to catch up to a 400 year head start that whites have had though out American history.
