If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.

Every child has the right to education,if you deny a child that right, the parent, state or community will regret in the nearest future why they didn't give that child a proper education. One of the output is the child becoming a nuisance in the society, hence becoming a problem to the society.
The best way to ensure that child gets to go to school is to mandate that they must go to school. That is the original reason for the mandate to begin with.
I can. Some people are dumb. And whenever good people try to do something great for mankind, a dumb person cancels it out. Like when people are given freedom of religion, they join ISIS. Or when they are given freedom of speech, they threaten to kill the president. I know these are extreme examples, but there are people that do not care about anyone.
I believe in freedom, but that doesn't mean people can do or say anything.
Children's brains aren't even developed yet. Sure, an adult can decided whether or not to go to college, but not children. Usually it is their parents trying to get them to not go to school so they can work. If the parents need labor, this is a separate problem. OR, if they want to teach their kids themselves, this will make them very ignorant.
They are your kids, but they are also the world's kids. They deserve to learn about everything while their brains are developing, not just what you want to teach them.
This is why it should be mandatory for children to go to school.
In country where I come from, NIGERIA every child has a right to education. That's why there are free government educational institutions expecially at primary levels to provide basic primary education to children.
That pretty much makes your argument that children should have a right to education because they currently have the right to education... which is circular reasoning. Unless I am missing something?
To be clear, I do think children should have access to at least primary education myself. I just do not frame it as a rights issue, necessarily.
Yes I think right should extend beyond primary education. Education basically has more of positive effect in our society. Acquiring knowledge and able to use it in the development of our society. When I say right I mean freedom and not duty, that's freedom to choose to be educated.
As I argued earlier, though, if you allow it to be a choice rather than mandating attendance then that not only means parents may pervert that choice to their own advantage but that students could opt out of an education. You seem to have introduced two conflicting justifications: the freedom of the student on the one hand and the needs of society on the other. If the freedom of the student is justified by the benefit to society, then how can a violation of the benefit of society be tolerated? A duty necessarily follows from your premise.
You make more money and get more career options if you have a high school diploma or GED. That said, if a student wants to drop out, get a GED, and get a job, it should be allowed. A GED is worth the same as a high school diploma.
OP said that if I child wanted to drop out, get a GED, or get a job that they should be allowed to do so. That references autonomy, ergo my question was responsive and topical. Any issue beyond that you will have to take up with OP since I advanced no argument beyond the question.
Unless the youth is emancipated I think the only way to ensure their parents do not prevent them to going to school, for any number of reasons, is to require that they attend.
"The best way to ensure that child gets to go to school is to mandate that they must go to school. That is the original reason for the mandate to begin with."
Only Leftist use the words that you have stated as shown above !
Obviously, kids have to learn something while they are in process of maturing. Most of countries, they are required to go school and some kids extremely hate that, because of their grade. So i think kids must go to school, but kids need some opportunity to find fun in studying or find talents and intelligence in other things expect studying.
