I think its ridiculous that it's even questioned. If you get to enjoy the rights and protection of being an American you respect the people who gave it to you and say the damn Pledge of Allegiance.

Says the guy who hates gays ................................................

Side: No

Yes. It increases nationality in a person so I think its good.

Side: Yes

If it is a public school, then government should require to say the Pledge of Allegiance, but if it is a private school, there is absolutely no authority to require to say the Pledge of Allegiance, it should be completely voluntary.

No. What's the "practical" point? Kids and adults should love and honor their country in the way they want to. Standing and saying a bunch of "words" like a parroting robot means nothing. Special occasions, maybe, but every morning just because? No.

The land of the free requires its people to pledge their alleigence? So much for freedom!! What about your first ammendment right of separation of religion and state does'nt a pledge with the words one nation under God take away that right and also making people who dont belive in God say the pledge is again taking away their right to freedom of religion

No- why should you? Kids don't want to be indoctrinated into something they can't control.
