Why do you suppose that is? It wouldn't even be so bad if there was some sort of honesty from our leaders, but they insist on pushing moral reasons for the intervention which don't stand up to any type of scrutiny. The UK has just sent 300 million to Ukraine, while a huge proportion of its own workers are striking over pay and almost 300,000 people spent Christmas without a home. Frankly, I think it's disgusting that the UK has money to spend on a foreign war, but no money to house its own citizens or pay them a fair wage. Side: Let the Ukrainians die.

All the while the Russian people live a relatively stress-free existence in the knowledge that the Ukrainian forces have no means of reciprocating Putin's onslaught on their neighbors. At least take the trouble of learning the history of the region instead of spitting out ridiculous propaganda soundbites. The 2014 coup led to open civil war in the Eastern parts of Ukraine. Contrary to the bullshit you are being spoon fed, the present Ukraine leadership was very much put there by the west, precisely because of its anti-Russian political ideology.
