The United States is still a British Colony

While researching over the internet for some dirt on America I came across the following website: http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/united_states_british_colony_index.htm

And according to this site the U.S is still a British colony (though I considerably doubt that). Either way, I haven't had the time nor the patience to read the entire site, so I'll let you browse it at your will and come up with your own opinions.

No, The United States in not still a British Colony. When we first came over to American we were 13 British Colonies, but as time progressed these 13 colonies became more independent. The people of these colonies wanted justice and felt like something need to be done, so they wrote the olive branch petition, which down-fell and more British troops were sent over to the 13 colonies, the people didn't like this and thats when a The Revolutionary War broke out. America started The Revolutionary War to be free from the British, I don't think that we would want to go back to being a colony for them if we didn't want to start another Revolutionary War.

So, I think that The United States are not apart of British Colony.

The United States is still a British Colony

Tell that to all of the Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Taiwanese, Cambodian, Australian, New Zealand, Russian, Ukrainian, Belorussian, Indian, Iranian, Kuwaitis, Iraqis, Iranian, Saudi Arabian, Afghan, Algerian, South African, North African, Angolan, Ugandan, Kenyan, Ethiopian, Libyan, Egyptian, Jordanian, Sealand, Romanian, Albanian, German, French, Norwegian, Finish, Spanish, Italian, Venetian, Armenian, Austrian, Greek, Scottish, Irish, Jamaican, Antigen, Native American, Canadian, Mexican, Guatemalan, Honduran, Nicaraguan, Argentinean, Chilean, Bolivian, Colombian, Ecuadoran, Belgian, Peruvian, Brazilian, and Venezuelan people who's ancestors all came to this melting pot of a country anytime in between 10 to 200 years ago to find opportunity to escape poverty.

I'm pretty sure if you tell any of those people that this is still, of all things, a British colony... at the very least, you will make not a single friend out of any of them.

SHIT. Why did I have to be upvoted?! I initially listed all of the countries I knew from memory and then submitted... then I decided to edit it to have countries I wanted to look up and remember. Thank you for agreeing with me and my joke, but DAMN you for not letting me list another dozen countries that a globe helped me re-remember by upvoting me so quickly!

Considering how a majority of those races were controlled by Britain or under heavy British influence at one point in history, I don't see how you can come to sucha conclusion.

Side: Disagree

I don't need to read the website to know that the United States is not a British Colony.

That defeats the purpose of the debate, I set this up so that in the light of new evidence people could forge their own opinions instead of just accepting what si taught to them at primary school.
