I'm actually not quite sure if religion will always exist. I do believe that modern religions will eventually disappear or morph into something else, but i'm not sure if human beings will ever reach a point in where they are all without religion. As I look at people, religion really is a part of human nature. It's practically inevitable. I feel that over time, it's possible that more and more people will be able to live without religion, but will it ever be the mass majority? Not sure. Surely not in the next century, so we'll never know. Side: yes
As a means of explaining how the universe works, I believe that science will gradually replace religion as the God of the gaps will continue to shrink. I do think that belief in a Higher power will always exist, I think that it's just a part of deep rooted human nature. Side: No
Yes.. there are more chances that they will! Even though Atheists will increase.. The fact that there are such hard core believers and so many good rules in the Holy books! Some of the guide lines are beneficial.. A lot of people would choose not to give up their Believes! Side: yes

If by ‘religion’ you mean “5. something of overwhelming importance to a person” – World English Dictionary. Then I would say probably. But if by ‘religion’ you mean “1. belief in, worship of, or obedience to a supernatural power or powers considered to be divine or to have control of human destiny.” – World English Dictionary. Then I would say probably not. Eventually our species should evolve past these primitive explanations to the natural world through the use of our brains. I think it would be best to define religion in this case. Regardless of the definition though, I think the answer would depend on whether or not one believes humans will always exist. Side: No
I believe that with world communication as it is, the governemtn way of thinking will be able to be taught within education, television programs, magizines and media etc. So really your country will believe what your government want's you to, which may be a religion or not. Side: No
Your view is probably made bias by the fact that in a Western world where religion is faltering, modern technologies etc. are the root of the problem. However in some parts of the world religion is growing. With increased communication religion could be made far easier and communities of 'faithful' can be larger and more closely knit. Also I would like to argue on your view that through the media etc. the Government makes you do what they want which is in my view wrong completely. through the internet we are now able to express personal opinions and therefore hierarchy has less of an impression on us. Side: yes
what the government teaches is definitely capable of being considered as a religion, but a government has to start these teachings at some point. those strong in their faith will most definitely see the flaws and differences between their beliefs and what they are being told are their beliefs...thus they will be indifferent to what the government says and teach their children their beliefs, who will more than likely spread it. thus, religion always exists! :) Side: yes
