If we were to legalize all drugs, it would go down as one of the most morally destitute actions our nation has ever taken. It would hurt our children and family structure for years on end. There is nothing to compare the action to genocide but I personally believe they are of equal moral depravity.

I'm also not saying there will be no smuggling. However, the cost of other programs would be reduced.

Lastly, as I've mentioned prior to this post, we need to have a e-verify system. This would effectively eliminate illegal immigration via legal methods such as visas.

I don't believe that is accurate. Widespread drug use would damage our nation's moral fabric for years on end. It would be almost as damaging to our moral fabric as a genocide.

The annual cost of lack of monitoring? I don't believe there is a real number for that. I think it can be obtained if you were to combine the cost of gang violence, healthcare for drug overdoses, prison operating costs, etc...

Like I said before, drug legalization would have an everlasting effect on our nation for the worse.

There are other paths into America where you can go around the wall. This can be minimized with the coast guard. The wall is not a solution to everything and there are ways to get around it. The goal is to seal every hole.

I cannot conceive those stupid mistakes happening. There are measures that can be taken by the school administrations that would minimize or eliminate the risk factor. For example, safes. The teacher doesn't necessarily even need to keep the gun on his or her body and it can stay in a undisclosed location that is only accessible by going through a lock. The students don't even need to know which room the gun is in, only the fact that there is a gun in the school.

You are 100% correct that a knock out punch to the cartels is to steal all of their business. But why did you even propose it? That is not a solution that can be allowed in the United States. With logic like that, the solution to Islamic terrorism would be genocide of all Muslims. That is simply not American.

Proper monitoring of the border is possible. Expensive? Yeah! Worth it? It is worth every penny. It will keep us safer. Gangs in the United States would suffer. The wall would lessen the stress on anti-gang units to a degree, opening up some money for border enforcement. Also, it doesn't have to be strictly manned patrols. We utilized thermal cameras and aerial surveillance to cover ground that we can't cover by foot or car.

As for the Mediterranean, that is simply not applicable. Migrants flow across the sea into several countries. They have many islands to land on as well. There is no way to block their flow.

Lastly, you talk about the cost of the wall being in the trillions. I've yet to see an estimate that comes anywhere near the trillions as for the cost of the wall. I don't know where you get that number from.

This is not how it would happen. The teachers would be expected to be professional and exercise common gun safety.

I grew up around guns and realize that to some they may be scary due to the incessant demonetization that they receive. I assure you that a gun in good hands is nothing to fear. There is no message to send except for that of "you're safe" and "I'm not going to let them do anything to you."

I 100% believe that schools should be armed. Why? Right now, schools are considered soft targets to those who want to attack. Deranged killers see no threat in school children and teachers.

I'm still in high school. Do you know what they train us to do in case of a shooting? As a class, we hide in a corner. We would be sitting ducks. As soon as the door opens, we would all be shot. Slaughtered.

We should give our children a fighting chance. If teachers are properly trained, which they need to be even to get a CCW permit, then there is no problem in letting them protect children in any way they can.

I support the wall because if done correctly.

What will the wall do? It will stop the worst of the illegal immigrants. It will be the hardest hitting punch to the cartels that we can throw. Why? It will minimize the amount of drugs going over the border (and under if it has a solid foundation). Now there is that age old argument that people could just throw things over which is very true. However, I believe that this can be minimized by proper patrolling of the border. What the wall will also do is minimize the power of the coyotes: the infamous human smugglers. What they do is awful and must be put to an end. Because they mainly operate by hiking over the border, the wall will have a substantial impact on their ability to operate.

In all, the wall is only one part of a whole. We still need an e-verify system to prevent people from overstaying their visas.

How important is it going to be? Just look at how important it is now.

Americans are fed up with the state of the nation and are willing to voice their opinion more now than ever. There is a general consensus in our nation that we are not heard in Washington. This has lead to the record turn out for primary elections. We want to be heard.

This election is going to be the election of the outsider. We have Trump, Cruz and Sanders all presenting themselves (generally correctly) as political outsiders. It is not the year to be a Clinton or a Kasich, both people who have been in the game for a long while doing and working with the same people.

But lets start with the outsiders:

If Trump is elected, it will signal a huge change in America's foreign affairs. Beyond anything, this is what he has focused on most. He will be aggressive on many fronts, demanding America gets a fair share. This may be prevalent when it comes to NATO or other nations where we offer military aid. He will demand military aid from our allies that we have not received in years past. America would be a demanding power in the world. He may bring tension with some countries, such as Mexico (for obvious reasons) and nations such as Iran where he feels (rightly so) that they are hostility taking over the Middle East.

Now lets move on to Cruz. I personally believe that a Cruz presidency would be marked by a time of conservative expansion. What do I mean? I believe he will leave a lasting conservative influence on the nation as a whole. I believe he will rely heavily on the powers of the Constitution and try very hard to leave the Supreme Court with a conservative super majority. I would also foresee conflict between the right and left, especially with his different budget plans and his tax plans. I honestly don't think that Democrats will be happy with the removal of Obamacare and a flat tax rate.

Now I don't believe Sanders has any true shot at becoming President (partly because the Democratic party has their cards stacked against him and that the word "socialist" is sacrilegious to the majority of Americans) but lets give him a go. Sanders would not be able to pass anything through Congress. He would have too much opposition from Republicans and many Democrats. Even if his tax plan was put in place it would flop. As for foreign policy, you would see a massive reduction in American presence through out the world. You would most likely see a reduction in the amount of force used against ISIS as well as a large reduction in the size of our military overall. China, Japan, and other Asian and some South American economies will see a boom due to American jobs fleeing.

Now lets move to the insiders. We would not see much change if Hillary Clinton is elected President. Our ISIS strategy would remain the same unless there was a major 9/11 style attack (and even then I don't think it will change). There would continue to be red line crossing throughout the world. Domestically, I could foresee the national debt continuing to climb alongside our debt ceiling. I don't think there will be any groundbreaking changes such as gay marriage legalization or any meaningful healthcare initiatives. She may try to push for a $15 dollar minimum wage or free college to appease the further left elements of her party to help her in reelection but otherwise, same old path we are taking.

Lastly, there is the Republican insider. Now I'm not even going to count John Kasich. Why? It doesn't matter who it is because the end result would be the same. Cruz and Trump supporters would band together and revolt. It would be the end of the party and the Democrats will win unless we have a moment of Truman's dreams. It is impossible to predict but I'm sure there will be violence in the mix.

No matter what happens, this election is going to leave a mark on our county's history. I guess it is too early to tell if that mark is a scar.
