Everyone else does......................so why not teachers.

I 100% believe that schools should be armed. Why? Right now, schools are considered soft targets to those who want to attack. Deranged killers see no threat in school children and teachers.

I'm still in high school. Do you know what they train us to do in case of a shooting? As a class, we hide in a corner. We would be sitting ducks. As soon as the door opens, we would all be shot. Slaughtered.

We should give our children a fighting chance. If teachers are properly trained, which they need to be even to get a CCW permit, then there is no problem in letting them protect children in any way they can.

Of course they should.

Listen.....all those mass killings in schools, like at Colu!home and Virginia tech and Sandy Hook were in gun free zones.

So who's to say that if some teacher there wouldve been packing that they could not have brought those little murderous psycho shits down before they killed as many innocents as they did?

I rest my case.

oh mr slapshot sandy hook......lol....lets go down the hole where teachers pack this only leads to 1984.....lets say you don't pack this leads to red dawn...so what do we do .....I don't know .... but I do know sandy hook was BULLSHIT and should never be used as a viable reference ....although I do like a view were the bad guy gets clipped in the fist few feet inside by a armed teacher not a cop or soldier or a wacko police state Rambo....im not a fan of the police tax force....so I guess the burden of presenting this option without some police state 1984 scan your kid in and scan your kid out and if your not in good standing with system your denied access to your kid and blown away by some freak who jacks off to robo cop....

Sure! Allow teachers to carry guns in school!

Allow Pastors to carry guns in church;

Allow men OR women to carry guns to a bar;

Allow drivers to carry guns on the road;

Allow teens to carry guns to high school and college!

We (locally) had a teacher caught straddling a boy on the floor with both hands around his throat a few days ago .... luckily , he didn't have a gun!

Child molesting pastors and priests would have their way easier if they had a gun, bar hopping guys and girls would have NO trouble getting rid of pushy guys or convincing "uncooperative girls" (unless THEY were armed, also). YEP! bring back Dodge City! That didn't work out well then .... maybe it will today (no more Matt Dillon)! Rape, molestation, road rage! Let's at least make it easier!

I would like to start by saying thank you for your opinion...I value all thought ...because as your cells decay and your material body dies you and your thoughts as a being are still very alive ....so thoughts are very valuable ...I do how ever find flaw in your position I believe you to be mistaken ....pure hearted and full of wonderful ideas but slightly less informed and traveled than perhaps you think you are ...I do this as well so I know it when I see it ...but bad people do bed things regaurdless of laws or morals or negative out comes ...so lets look at isis and Chicago they both are violent places and peoples ...they do not care that in the case of Chicago you may not own a gun yet it is the gun crime capital of America as are many many other gun free cities ....now lets look at isis they murder and rape and molest and enslave and all kinds of sick things to children and women....im almost positive that they are aware at least slightly that this may be viewed as law breaking or bad ....but in theses cases law be damned...so if you out law guns you are arming those who could careless about you your life and your laws...and you are disarming and creating a victim pool of those who do respect you your life and your laws...this seems very foolish to load supermans pockets with crippling kryptonite and send him off to save the world completely stripped of his weapons in witch to fight back....life is balance you go to a new jungle somewhere not discovered you cant go around messing with things you will destroy the balance...lets say a mild unfit man sees a woman being raped and choked by a serial killer..this man cant fight so he calls the police who always show up AFTER the death rape or theft...worthless pricks ...but hey they drum up trillions in tickets and fines in victimless traffic bullshit and why shouldn't they be armed like a special forces operatives...to show up after the fact or to write bogas tickets to basically tax citizens via fine .....sorry im coming back to station now.... now lets say this man is an armed lawfully armed citizen he can blow the serial killer away and save the girl....guns are just tools I can kill with a chef knife but why ..because im a maniac and I kill people ....this is how murder works.....cars kill more people than guns in America lets scrap cars and go back to buggies .....now that some how seems obtuse ....guns it should be up to the individual as to what they carry or do not carry ...in a very capable man with lots and lots of real mma training I wrestle I do bjj I have amazing knockout power and have been in many fights so I don't carry a gun....now when I feel I can n o longer defend myself or others I will carry and laws be damned...not because im a murderer ...but because I refuse to watch one or be the victim of one .....I believe no man has the right to take another mans rights unless his behavior directly hurts another person...and people who seek to do this are passive bullies and I say good luck

I have NO wish to do away with guns. I have owned guns since I was a small boy, WAS an NRA member for years, shot on military and civilian rifle teams. I only want realistic restrictions, such as the drunk driving laws, driving without a license and other limits for highways, Severe punishments for breaking the laws that protect people. The idea that

the government is after our guns! We need to protect ourselves from our own government! ..is so much NRA propaganda! An organization I used to be proud of!

Slightly less informed and traveled than I think I am?? I've been in 15 countries, every province in Canada except Yukon and Saskatchewan, 47 of the 50 states. My cells might be decaying but, they have a way to go before I lose my common sense.

Of course not....first of all what is the use of carrying guns to school by teachers.....think of the msg they would give to students by doing this.???let's imagine a situation if a child has not done his homework.

Teacher- what u have not done ur homework

And BANG

And the student is shot dead!!!

I can't think of a better way to motivate students to attend class, pay attentions, do their homework assignments and make good grades. It's a capital idea!

By means of gun....that would be ridiculuous I can't even imagine my teacher forcing me to attend the class by keeping gun on my head..sounds funny...isn't it....the condition of today's student has worsen to such a extent that they need to have the fear of gun with teachers to attend the class..really sad.

This is not how it would happen. The teachers would be expected to be professional and exercise common gun safety.

I grew up around guns and realize that to some they may be scary due to the incessant demonetization that they receive. I assure you that a gun in good hands is nothing to fear. There is no message to send except for that of "you're safe" and "I'm not going to let them do anything to you."

Side: Yes

I think the concern is less directed towards the gun being in good hands, and more about when a teacher doesn't exercise common gun safety.

It really boils down to which scenario is more likely, and which would cause more damage: Teachers occasionally failing to follow proper safety and a student getting a hold of it, or a teacher successfully stopping a spree shooter with one.

Considering how rare school shootings actually are (in spite of what the media seems to want us to believe), and how often people make stupid mistakes, it seems to me like a bad idea. It does sound good in theory, though.

Please, for the love of Cthulhu, say that you're trolling. With the amount of attention that the media gives school shootings, you must be joking. If you'd responded with an argument about the presence of a weapon among children, about the likelihood that it would be beneficial, about the likelihood of collateral damage, anything like that? I'd have understood. This, I'm hoping is a joke.
