I agree entirely. Of course, some people would survive without government, but the average person wouldn't. Not only does the government help provide for everyone, but when things like water, electrical and heating are taken care of, we are able to focus on other things. With the government, we can explore science and art and technology. We don't just want to survive, but we also want to put energy into other things. With the government, there is a safe place where we can learn and grow without having to worry about a boatload of things that the government provides for us.

Living under a government is important because the government provides many things that help the community as a whole. First, the government provides both protection from outside sources but also keeps order within the country. Although some people can "fend for themselves" we can recognize that in order for everyone in a community to survive a protection force in necessary. The government protects the country during times of war and everyday acts of injustice. Second, the government provides a system that ensures justice will be served for those crimes. It is responsible for stopping crimes and locking up the people who commit them. Third, the government provides an education system. This allows it's citizens to acquire jobs and participate in being productive members of society. Last, the government also helps provide for the general needs of the country: paving roads, health care, post offices and more. Without the government, not only would there be a lacking in community, which humans need but there would also be many other gaps in the well being of the lives of many people.
