Taxes are way more than that. I agree that taxes suck and that they should be lowered in order to help the American population. Cut back spending on stupid stuff and lower the rates. This would help the middle class exponentially which is key for a healthy economy. We need taxes to pay for things that an average American citizen can't provide themselves like, infrastructure, schools, military, police and firemen.

If we weren't taxed, we wouldn't have the ability to upgrade infrastructure, pay first responders. We wouldn't have public schools and we definitely wouldn't have the military. I do believe we can be taxed too much and we should cut spending in order to not have to tax the American people so harshly. Our country started out tallest though and there is a reason why we changed over to taking them.
