I agree. My kids, at least, need good role models of how to treat other people, and how to interact. I teach freshmen in a low income area, and they simply have never been taught how to act in a polite social setting. It will be a long road to integrate them into polite society. These kind of practices will be very important for gaining and keeping a job later in life.
