I couldn't elaborate on the description because of my bias. Humans live very long lives compared to most animals. Our average life expectancy: 75 to 100. Most animals average life expectancy: 10 to 30. Though I accept that the point in it bee too long has nothing to do with comparisons of longevity, it has to do with usefulness. So I address the most useful animals, the creatures that do the most with their lives, as short as they may be. Take for instance the bee. There's a saying "Busy as a bee" that exists because it's a very hardworking creature. From the time it can move it's doing work for the hive up until the day it dies. Another hardworking creature is maybe a bear. They live in the wild and would seem to live pretty sedentary lives, but everything they do is endgame to survive the winter. Then I turn the spotlight on humanity. We do things to survive, obviously, that's what makes us a thriving species. Yet we have so much free time, that we just waste. It's not seen as a waste to the people who want an escape from their boredom, but it serves no purpose to nature, and it serves no purpose to our survival. We live too long because, in the time we have we can use a small portion of it to live, and ensure we live and pass down our traits, but we use a large portion of that life, sitting, and thinking, and pondering questions to the universe that are so insignificant to the grand scheme of things that it's even laughable.
