I guess I'm feeding them by posting in this debate, but other than that, I look at troll posts like ads that people just skip over and don't really pay any attention to when they're reading articles on a web site. I might be reading an article about ps4 vs xbox1 and there's an ad for a penis pump, or how to make money working from home or how dentists hate a mom in Kansas for figuring out how to whiten her teeth. Nobody gives a shit, they just scroll past it and keep reading. Most people probably never consider the psychology behind trolling. It's really a cry for help. These people are sad and lonely, socially awkward, probably suffering from some form of social anxiety. Can you imagine the desperation a person must be feeling when they've come to the conclusion that the very best use of their time is creating multiple accounts and spamming debate after debate with nonsense that contributes nothing and (the ones on this site at least) isn't even funny. I find it mildly annoying, but more than anything, I feel pity for these people. They're starving for attention and don't know how to interact with people in constructive and positive ways, so the best that they can hope for is that somebody will at least notice them, even if it's just for being annoying on a web site, it's still better than the loneliness and isolation they feel in the real world where nobody knows they're alive. It's really a cry for help. These people are sad and lonely, socially awkward, probably suffering from some form of social anxiety. Explain how you know that it's a cry for help. You seem to have skipped that part of the explanation and also seem to think that it is always the case. Can you imagine the desperation a person must be feeling when they've come to the conclusion that the very best use of their time is creating multiple accounts and spamming debate after debate with nonsense that contributes nothing and (the ones on this site at least) isn't even funny. You appear to be under the assumption that that is all of what the person does. Don't hop to conclusions when you hardly even know anything about the supposed troll. Side: Nom Nom Nom

I seem to have hit a nerve. No offence, but you're a classic case. You post garbage that's of no interest to anyone day after day. "Hey look at me! Look at me!" I imagine in the real world, you're sad and lonely, spend most of your time alone and don't know how to maintain meaningful relationships with anyone because nobody finds you interesting. You probably suffer from depression, low self-esteem, are painfully shy and terrified of social situations. I remember there were a few days when you strung together three or four coherent posts and I asked what was going on. You responded by divulging that you suffer from sort of condition that makes you act like a boring assclown most of the time, but not always. Who knows, maybe you just have a horrible sense of humour and just have no idea that you're not even remotely amusing, but I doubt it. I strongly suspect you're hurting inside and are in need of therapy and medication. Side: Nom Nom Nom

Certainly. What's more fun then taunting homophobes, and threatening to give them AIDS after they make crude jokes about it?! Seriously, no skin off my nose, and I can feel safe in the knowledge I have made an asshole ( and not the good kind) feel uncomfortable :P Side: Nom Nom Nom

The art of trolling is a fine internet tradition, but, in order for it to be successful, the troll has to dupe some plonker into getting annoyed or argue against a ridiculous point. It isn't trolling if everyone knows it. What you have hereon this site, mein freund, is a retard, with no creativity and obviously too much time on their hands, they don't deserve the status of troll. Side: What troll?
