Is it time to end the War on Marijuana?

I do not have any interest in smoking weed. I like to keep a clear head. However, the American governments stance against it is odd. In health courses we learn about a number of legitiment studies that have shown positive effects of using marijunia, I including a recent study that indicates it may be useful in treating diabetes. Such promising studies have been presented to the American government, but they reject them.

The present dangers of marijunana (excessive levels of THC, mixing in crack cocaine to produce addictive effect) could be corrected if there was FDA oversight of the production.

I would say that the biggest reason to not smoke weed right now is not any health reason, but simply because it is illegal.

If it became legal then would employers and companies stop drug testing for it?

Side: Yes

Currently the most greatest danger associated with smoking marijuana is going jail, not any effect the drug has on the user.

Marijuana appears to have no harmful symptoms to it, but truly it is not like that. It is a dangerous drug, especially for chronic users.
