Should I use XC spikes on pavement?
With XC season coming up in a few months, I was considering purchasing my first pair of XC spikes (I am a high school varsity runner). My only dilemma is that a majority of our XC meets are run on some sort of hard surface (sidewalks, compact dirt, pavement, etc.) with bits of grass or soft dirt sprinkled throughout. Therefore, I was wondering whether I purchasing a pair of XC spikes was worth the money, or if I should resort to racing flats instead. ((If I did purchase a pair of spikes, I was highly considering purchasing the Saucony Havoc XC))
