TV and films influence children more than parents.

While parents earn money their children sit at home watch TV and films. So, there are two sides of an issue that some people think TV and film have stronger influence than parents. Another part is against to this statement.

I totally agree with this statement. First of all, the most of parents have job, even some of them are workaholics. so it means they have no time to bring up their children well. Furthermore, childhood is diminishing. children do not want to play in the street, go to museum, ride bycicle etc. they jaust want to watch fantasy films or where actors are very handsome.

Moreover, in films there are so many life situations which are more interesting than their family life. Besides, today's children spend their their time with TV and internet

Again, I agree with you! Films are teaching children to live, by its real live stories!

I totally agree with you !! I think watching tv and films become very popular among children nowadays. We are living in time, where technology is in high level of developing. Personally I could say that my little sisters are always watching TV. I think it is the most interesting for them. As children are spending their most time watching TV and films, they are learning more things from that, than from their parents, because they are at work. It means TV and films have more influence on children than their parents

TV shapes an answer in our minds to all the things we haven't seen or experienced whether it's: night clubs, university, business meetings, the so called 'perfect man' etc. Most of the things shown on TV do not exist or extremely exaggerate aspects which draws us away from realism in our own lives, this contributes to disrespect towards our parents. Films and shows indoctrinate us to believing that we can all reach our aspirations no matter how big they are when really we should be looking at the real picture in front of us and strive to fulfill genuine achievable aims for ourselves.

Furthermore, TV and films are getting stonger and more interesting. They attract children's attention easily, however some of TV soups or films educate children in wrong way. forexample, there could be film about crime or just pornography, but their parents don't know what their children watch.

I don't agree with you.

My main point is that there's a limitation in the influence of TV and filmes.

With TV or films, we cannot expect any double-way interaction.

only through the interaction, people can share ideas and affects each other.

Without this, we can expect just excitement and it is not comparable to the influence by people, especially parents at all.

It doesn't make sense.

Of course, there could be, no there are age limits of TV programmes and films, but do you think that children pay attention and follow this rules. No, actually. The most dangerous thing is children can watch films for adults (18+, 21+), and if parents do not know about that it will be terrible as well as there so many "black words" and porn scenes.

TV can influence children more than parents even in a positive way. There a lot of useful soups for children where children can learn alphabet, interesting songs, about wild life an so on.

Side: yes

They can. If you are a parent that doesn't spend time with your child, but you allow them access to media, they will be more influenced by it. If you give them some attention and limit their media time, then they will be more influenced by parents.

Nevertheless, there can be parents who worry about children's future, inspite of their work they can spend their time or even weekend with their family. They just want to brng up their children well

Or there can be strict parents who even works but prohibit watching TV because of its bad influence. It seems us kind of a discrimination. However, what should they do, if they are too busy and want to bring up their children in right way?!

Side: no

I agree with your position, but it is not exactly matter of time.

even if children spend more time with TV than their parents, they can correct and make their idea through the interaction with their parents after watching TV.

The point is 'interaction'.

The point is that, TV programmes influence behaviour of children the most. the majority of children watch cartoons. They get infatuated with it so much that they start using the dialogues used by their favourite cartoon characters frequently.

What is this asking exactly?

Are you asking which group of people is affected more by TV and films? Or are you asking which are children more affected by?

Well, that doesn't really help me, seeing as you just repeated the questioned title...

tv and media can influence children but not more than parents. real people are always more influential than any other electric gadget and especially someone who have nurtured taken care and brought up us is always more influential than tv and media.

Side: no

Depends on the kids. Depends on the parents. Depends on their other activities. Depends on their friends. Depends on their biology and age. No easy answers here.
