Truman's grandson visited Hiroshima recently to offer his condolences. Thoughts?

I think I would feel differently about it if it were less publicized. From what I can tell, it appears that he just genuinely did it because he wanted to. And if that's the case, then I think what he did was great. There's a difference between apologizing for what happened and offering respect and condolences. The former may not be his responsibility, but all the articles I read haven't really talked about that. I think he wanted to simply hear other peoples' stories and see how they were doing, and that's a really important thing. Anyway, I think the Japanese really appreciated his gesture.
