Similar to B.J. Lawson who is running for North Carolina’s 4th District, Mr. John McCay is another Ron Paul Republican running for office in the 2008 local and state elections.

Truth be told, not a lot is known about Mr. McCay, especially on his website however, his monetary policies are key example of why more Ron Paul Republicans should be taken seriously and or be elected into office.

Not a lot of officials running for office do not even dare touch the topic of the United States owing an astronomical debt to foreign nations like China, Japan, Saudi Arabia and so forth. According to the Congressional Budget Office the United States borrows two billion dollars per day from these nations and it must be stopped.

Another topic that Mr. McCay discusses the Federal Reserve and how that must be abolished as almost as immediately because they are the ones that manipulate the interest rates, never disclose the M3, print money out of thin air therefore debasing the currency and many other things they do behind closed doors.

What are Mr. McCay’s plans? 1) Smaller Government. 2) Cut Spending. 3) Deregulate Business. 4) Privatization of Public Programs. Oh and one more little thing, Mr. McCay is in favor of abolishing the IRS therefore repealing the 16th Amendment.
