Perhaps a description of the Kurzweil Singularity would help? I am assuming that it has to do with the singularity, in which computers will become so smart that they can create bigger and better computers without human interference - thus making humans obsolete. A computer is only the sum of it's parts (er, programming). How can it go beyond it's programming? Side: Psh, no!
