Will humans ever colonize space?

Basically, will we ever have a space colony on another planet or moon?  I'm not refering to a temporary shuttle that orbits Earth or another celestial body with people in it for a prolonged time, but will we ever have a permanent colony on the land (or water) of another planet.

Yes, indeed we will. Why, the moon is proposed for colonization within the next 20 years! Don't you worry, Mr. MKIced. It will happen, much sooner than anyone thinks.

Eventually, as in, maybe another 50+ years, if not more. I mean, I heard that they're already preparing to take people willing to cough up a ton of money on a trip to the moon, but it would take BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars to have constant successful shuttles going up there and to build a colony that us humans can actually survive in. Our world has better things to do, or to TRY and do since we're doing such a shit job so far, than spending money on that.

Side: Eventually

As I have stated on other similar questions, it is not if but when. Eventually our sun will burn out. This is a fact. That fact necessitates extra solar colonization for our species survival in the extreme long term.

I agree that the sun will burn out... in 4.5 billion years (roughly). lol. I don't think we'll be around for that long.

Side: Eventually

of coarse we will because at the rate tech is increasing these days we could eaisly have a colony by say 2200 also in the reent discovery on the moon there was water on the moon meaning that there could be more life out there who could help us to colonize on another planet and live there!

Side: Eventually

Probably a long time from now but I don't forecast it in the near future.

There is more time left in the sun's life than Earth has been around, around 6 billion years. If we have gone from apes to what we are now in only a fraction of that time, then we will go from humans to robots in even less time. When I say robots I mean parts of us will be machine - likely the parts that wouldn't survive in space or that would fail to keep us alive in space would be modified at least. I think colonizing space is absolutely necessary and so it will be possible with proper planning.

Humans won't, but this new strand of humans called the SupremeLords will. Y'all will witness happen!

Side: never

A good point. By the time we reach this point in our evolution we may not be classified in the genus homo.
