Christians have nothing but appeals to emotion and fairy tales

"But religion gives people comfort." I'd agree with that. When I was a child, fairy tales appealed to my emotion, but I grew out of that. I have nothing against anyone's religion … as long as they keep it to themselves and their cult. If it hurts no one, enjoy.

The problem, for centuries, is the refusal to coexist with other beliefs. Until religions can do that we will have hate, we will have war. A shame.

Islam is a cult, but that doesn't mean all muslims are what racist cuntservatives stereotype them as. All religions are stupid, but that doesn't give you the go-ahead to go rape them in the bodingus hole.

No. I'm not a Marxist, and I HOPE our Constitution, followed by our government, saves U.S. More than 50% of the government we have at this moment doesn't give a rat's ass about the Constitution …. THEY think running the country by the Bible will save U.S. The government that swore to "uphold the Constitution" of the U.S., They did NOT swear to uphold the Bible! THAT is not "freedom of religion"! Other religions (ALL other religions … or none!) are (were) welcome here … as long as they abide by our Constitution. Marx wasn't in favor of that, I AM. I'm NOT "afraid" to address your web page, I'm just not interested in it because you obviously shovel the same crap here. A double dose would make me a glutton for punishment, no thanks.

Bernie Sanders is. Half of your party voted for him.

Yes. We are aware that libs claim the Constitution is "old and outdated" and needs destroyed.

THEY think running the country by the Bible will save U.S. The government that swore to "uphold the Constitution" of the U.S., They did NOT swear to uphold the Bible! THAT is not "freedom of religion"!

No one demands the vlcountry be "run by the Bible".

Yes, but they are not fundamentally different in this than anyone else who posits affirmative belief in anything else.

An interesting atheist perspective going on here.

Religion = comfort would be good.

But at what cost? You tell us. A society not at war with itself? Suicide rates down? People with objective meaning and purpose? Less school shootings?

We never said that Christianity is always a bad thing. Yes, it can help lower death rates, and add more peace in the world. That does not change the fact that it can be completely based on somebody's imagination. It might do good in society in general. But would you rather be brainwashed to believe in something that you have never physically encountered and drown in illusions just to have a functioning society. Is that REALLY the best way to avoid wars and conflicts? Making people cling unto something that could simply be a figment of their imagination to get a little bit of comfort, and avoid suicides etc. Don't even get me started on the negative effects that can be caused by religion, including disputes between different religious groups. Religion does more harm than good. It might decrease suicide rates, but I don't consider living in ones illusion actually living.

So can believing this wasn't all created.

1)Yes. Even if it was.

Atheism caused the mass muders by Mao and Stalin. Hitler mocked Christians.

Making people cling unto something that could simply be a figment of their imagination to get a little bit of comfort, and avoid suicides etc.

1)If there is no god or isn't, yeah why not be happy if this is all we get?

Don't even get me started on the negative effects that can be caused by religion, including disputes between different religious groups.

Don't get me started on the negative effects of Atheism. Atheists have produced the first and second greatest mass kills in human history. A mocker of Christians is third.

Religion does more harm than good.

Right. That's why as the west becomes more secular the amount of suicides and people confused about who they are has skyrocketed. Also, don't confuse Christianity with Islam. They are more different than alike.

It might decrease suicide rates, but I don't consider living in ones illusion actually living.

But doing drugs that take you from reality is fine and logical.....

First of all, what did you see and here that made you think this? Where's your proof that Christians have nothing but appeal to emotion? Second, the Bible isn't about fairy tales. Fairy tales are a completely different thing.
