I don't even see this as an issue of who likes to tax more. It's a matter of what kind of taxes you like. Liberals tend to like progressive taxes and Conservatives tend to like flat taxes.

Our current tax brackets look like this:

Income (single).,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,Marginal Tax rate:

$0 - $8,500.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., 10%

$8,501 - 34,500.,.,.,,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. 15%

$34,501 – $83,600.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., 25%

$83,601 – $174,400.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. 28%

$174,401 – $379,150.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., 33%

$379,151 + .,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. 35%

2008 Tax bracket looked like this:

$0 – $8,025.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,..,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., 10%

$8,026 – $32,550.,.,.,.,..,.,.,.,.,.,,.,.,.,., 15%

$32,551 – $78,850.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. 25%

$78,851 – $164,550 .,.,..,.,.,.,.,.,,.,.,.,.,. 28%

$164,551 – $357,700 .,.,.,.,..,.,.,...,.,.,.,. 33%

$357,701 + .,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,..,.,.,..,.,.,,.,.,..,., 35%

Going from 2008 to 2011 taxes actually decreased for every category. This is according to the IRS website

The same pattern appears when we look at those filing jointly and those as filing as "Head of Household". Objective statistical sources confirm that Federal taxes have only decreased since Obama has been in office, stereotypical liberal beliefs aside.

Wow thanks for the blah and blah tax rates, but there is a difference between what is actually the tax rates and what Obama's wants as tax rates. So, it stands as his favorite song. Plus, there is the inflation tax. Even Ben Bernanke says inflation is an tax.

By the way, thanks for the Source: because otherwise, I would have never figured out that the link was your source.

However, do you really think I am going to believe the federal government, much less the IRS. Government is an institution of lies. Despite what form of government, government will pursue its own agenda, and if it has to lie, so be it. Particularly, if it is to create more power and control, think Patriot Act.

Wow thanks for the blah and blah tax rates, but there is a difference between what is actually the tax rates and what Obama's wants as tax rates.

This seems to me a very weak argument. You're insisting that he wants something in direct contrast to what his actions have otherwise shown, namely that he wants to raises taxes even though he has lowered them. If all of his words and actions say one thing then on what basis can you claim that he 'wants' something else?

However, do you really think I am going to believe the federal government, much less the IRS.

It would behoove the IRS to give an accurate report of what the current tax rate is. They just collect the taxes set by others, it's not their job to get involved in politics.

Accuse them of lying if you will but the objective statistical data that we do have clearly and decisively contradicts your claim. Talking points don't refute hard facts.

President Obama is against taxing the middle class. He wants the rich to pay more taxes.
