Well, regardless of what ''we the people'' think the ''authorities'' are going to keep bringing them in anyway. Unfortunately Donald Trump has had his wings clipped by the ''authorities'' and he is clearly running out of steam with his declared determination to resolve many issues, including illegal immigration being watered down. The issue of whether or not the quoted statistics on sex crimes committed by illegals are correct is a red herring as all crimes, including those of a sexual nature, are significantly higher with the presence of the illegals. It's estimated there are 11.1 illegal immigrants in the US. As an average, that's 231,250 in each state (only counting the lower 48 states). Let's say there's 25,000 in Oregon (as places like LA and NYC would have much more than the average). 969 criminals out of 25,000 is 3.876% Around 30% of the US adult population has a police record. Note that the article you linked says "969 foreign nationals were in the state’s prison system". Foreign nationals are not necessarily illegal immigrants. Personally, I believe anyone should be allowed to live anywhere in the world, even if they have a criminal record-as they would have already served their prison sentence. Side: Keep bringing em in
People who commit crimes need to be either locked up or sent back home. But with that said, let's put the statistics in perspective. It says that's looking at the 969 illegals who are convicts. The population of illegals in Oregon is estimated at 130,000. http://www.pewhispanic.org/interactives/ So you've just proven less than 1% of illegals (.74538462) commit crimes serious enough to land them in jail. Heck, they behave better than the US citizen population. The other thing is it could just be the final trigger that makes the state lock them away is when they do the sex crimes.
