I do not mean that person must spend all time on video games. Majority of parents usually against to play games and prohibit children to spend their time for playing. I want to persuade that parents should give about 2- 3 hours per the day. I am sure it would not bring any problems with laziness and fatness. Could you explain what do you mean promotes sex? 5. I agree, may be it is not fully correct argument Side: Pro(For)

I think video games have negative effects on people.Firstly it influences on human’s health. It’s often very difficult to cure the ills that are caused by incessant gaming. One of the most common health issues that is faced by most individuals, adults and children alike, addicted to playing video games is obesity. Addicted gamers often face this problem because they tend to sit in one place for a long time and then their body misses out of any kind of physical activity.Secondly, playing video games for long hours tends to adversely affect the social behavior of an any individual as well. Social isolation can be an immediate consequence of continuous gaming. People, especially children, tend to spent lesser time with their friends and others because they want to get back home as fast as possible and continue playing. This make them aloof from others and develop a kind of anthropophobia ( fear of people) Side: Con(Against)
I am not sure on the sum effect of video games on developing children. (Which is the crux of the issue) 1. Increase eye-hand coordination 2. Strategy skills 3.Attention skills 4.Brain is able to work much quicker and better 5. Games help to improve self-esteem 1. Fair enough, but try sports for that. (Not that I'm into sports) 2. Okay, but a lot of the questioned games are first person shooter games. Don't really want kids to have too many skills for a mass kill. 3. Here you might be wrong; the fast pace of most video games encourages developing minds to be more impatient with the slow (so damn slow) speed of real life. 4. So; is good. But refer to point three. Can't really have both three and four. 5. You've admitted this is not a point, so dismissed. Side: Con(Against)

I will say that video games have more negative effects than positive on the whole. So I have to vote on the Con side as the debate is written. However, the fact that they have negative effects is only part of the equation, in terms of the big picture at least. The following activities are significantly worse than video games on the whole: Television and movies, Drinking (in bars or otherwise), Drugs, interactions with undesireable elements of society, Bullying/being bullied, attending concerts, etc. The list just goes on. Ultimately, playing video games can certainly have a negative effect on people, but objectively it's still better than what most people would be doing otherwise. So essentially, those who decry video games, while they may be using facts (even though exaggeration and flatout ignorance are rampant within this 'issue'), the fact that they are attacking video games specifically implies that they are pushing an agenda; they're more worried about attacking video games than actually worrying about the overall well-being of those who are supposedly affected by them. Edit: Runon sentence runs on. I have to admit I'm simply too lazy at the moment to break it down into proper grammar. Sorry. Side: Con(Against)
