I believe that people are more afraid of death than allmost anything else. In prison, they can go to college with government money, they can be fed. Death will lessen the people doing crime, becuase nowdays all they get is basically and education and food. Side: For the death penalty

Anyone who has done something evil enough to warrant a sentence of more than 20 years in prison should be hanged, as a matter of principle. Certain crimes should ALWAYS carry the death penalty, and be administered according to the severity of the criminal action. Rape =Chipper Shredder Robbery= Hanging Pedophilia, child molestation=Chipper Shredder Sale or manufacture of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin.ecstacy =Chipper Shredder Public Malfeasance in office by an elected official(of ANY rank) =Chipper Shredder Illegal immigration first offence= leave on foot or be sent back across through Chipper Shredder. Second offence = Chipper Shredder expess Murder ( without good reason) Hanging or Chipper Shredder( victim's famlies disgression) Welfare fraud=Hanging Prisons don't work people, it's a fact. Certainty of severe punishment does work, however. Side: For the death penalty

Death. A terminal Punishment. And who is to say, you got the right person? Yes, they may have confessed, yes, they may have been found guilty, but is killing another memeber of society going to really justify the crime? You are just hurting another family. If you say one life for another, then some judges in the world should get the death penalty. The soldiers in war, protecting the world should get the death penalty? Really, who are you hurting? I find it funny how all the comments for the death penalty are filled with LOLs and putting pedophiles through chipper shredders. The idea of putting people to death for a crime sounds nice to the common citizen. This is because of two reasons. First, they think to themselves, criminals are bad people; if we take those bad people out of this world, we will have a better world. Second, they are completely ignorant of the very concept of putting another human being, like themselves, to death. To the first, we don't always know if a person is guilty; and even if they confess, it doesn't actually prove that they're guilty. To the second, some people are ignorant and always will be. There's nothing you can do about it. Side: Opposed to the death penalty

While it may be impossible to force criminals to repay their debt to society entirely, execution pays absolutely nothing back. Granted it may effectively cut a loss, but shouldn't we be forcing them to repay in whatever manner we can devise? Mandatory blood and/or organ donation, forced labor, medical research, and the like make much more sense to me. Why waste valuable human resources? For some of the worst crimes, a death sentence is getting out cheap!! Side: Opposed to the death penalty
I opposed to death penalty because of it violated the rights of prisoners, it's cruel and unusual punishment because of it killed criminals. And it cost the state too much and it practically bankrupted the states. EU has no death penalty because of this, but stupid people in USA supported the death penalty because of they based the Bible as arguement for the death penalty and they think the death penalty will be lower the crime because of harsh nature, but really it is not. States with death penalty have a murder rate twice the states without death penalty. Prison for life is cheaper and ethical alternative to death penalty. Side: Opposed to the death penalty

I oppose the death penalty. sure some people might deserve it but killing them is only making it worse.a wise man once said violence does not solve violence. so why even try? also, the death sentence is not really fair or useful. say you kill someone and commit homicide, but what makes the state better to do the same to you, huh? the death sentence is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. so its like you are punishing someone for a crime, but then you do the same crime or even worse as a punishment? so what i am trying to say is that the state basiclly calls the death sentence a "legal"crime. what sense does that make?! plus, the man/woman isn't going to learn anything or get a chance to really think things straight or possibly even get their life back together if they die before they get a chance.they are not getting true punishment by just ending their life, but if they actually serve time they get true punishment for the crimes.these are the things that cause war amongst the world today.we all make mistakes and sometimes we just dont learn, but no matter what mistake we make, no matter what wrong decision or step we take, we are all human on the inside. and just like you wouldnt want your family member to die, thats how the criminals family feels as well. if a criminal is put to life for murder, then at least the one family is hurt and grieving over their loss, but if the criminal is sentenced to death row, now two families are hurt and grieving, the victim AND the criminals families. Death penalty is cruel. It is ending a person's life without giving him a 2nd chance. They might have murdered people, but is this going to solve it?Maybe the person, when given 2nd chance will turn over a new leaf, and might even contribute greatly to the community.Death penalties take and steal one's future.
