It only may be so for a person, but not for everyone or even for majority. No one should not persist his tastes, because we live all together with different tastes. I like Rock, also i listen to pop sometimes, so i disagree with that point of view.

It's evident that many children love pets, from time to time they become like best friends or even like brothers(sisters), because they grow together and support each other.
But families without children may not have enough time to look after the pet and may not realize their responsibility for the pet.
According to the 2011 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey's research 31.1% of high school students spend more than 3 hours in a day on the computer. It's too much, because there are more activities that today's youth forgetting to do: sports, art, reading, and etc.
Nowadays, men have undue influence to nature. By cutting trees people take animal's natural habitat.
There are many catastrophes like in Mexico, Deepwater Horizon oil spill, that damaged to the number of animals and species which live there. Over this situation the nature have lost about 7000 animals of only 3 species, it leads to their extinction or make them endangered species.
People should share the world with other habitats of it to save the balance, but not wipe them out.
