I believe we need the government for our society to survive. The government provides us anything from housing to protection from foreign invaders. Right now the federal and state government of Texas are providing shelter to citizens who were effected by Hurricane Harvey. Without the government many people in Texas would be homeless and might die. Also, the government makes our daily lives a lot easier, by picking up trash, directing traffic, making safety regulations and so much more. Without trashmen the streets would be smelly and if no one is directing traffic then many people would get hurt. The government also cracks down on crime, without police officers and laws no one would be held accountable for their crimes . Those are just a few reasons why i think government is absolutely necessary.
