I'd have to do more research into the death penalty website before believing the facts they present.
We disagree on what justice is. I think you believe in restorative justice. I believe in retributive justice. You don't believe that death is punishment. I do.
What is the highest punishment? Living in jail off the taxpayers money and "having to live knowing what they did?"

I don't see what the debate is. This is the definition of majority. Those who control 51% win! Case closed.
It's strange though - 51% in university is considered a "pass"......but isn't deemed enough to get credit for the course. The mark required for getting the credit is 60%. I wonder if we should adopt this view in business and politics. :)
Let's go back further and ask "Should kids even have cell phones?"
Do you have kids? Do you know what it takes to parent?
Parents who care about their children and what they are doing will read their children's text messages. They would also monitor their kids internet usage.
Who is paying for the phone? The kid - or the parents? This is a good gauge to determine if the kids have a base level of responsibility.
This is one of the lamest arguments in this column. Airlines aren't in the business of making people feel good and worry about people's self conscience.
Your argument about getting the second seat for free or half off is ridiculous. If a normal weight person straps an underweight person to their back and tries to get on the plane - would they get the second seat for free?
Let's use a more reasonable example of why obese people should have to pay more.
Airlines exist to make money. The more people they move they more $$ they make. That's why airlines exist. To make money. If someone is taking up the space of two people then they should compensate the airline for this. Not the other way around.
Wow - those are great points. I especially like points 2, 3, 7, 13, and 14. The last sentence in point #9 made me laugh.
One can't argue with the emotional impact of having an ice cold coke on a warm day. It's emotions - they must be true.
More points to add
- If you drink coke you are essentially voting that it's better than Pepsi. Which we know adds to point 7 and 8.
- Coke is manufactured and locally bottled in the U.S which adds jobs to the economy. And who doesn't love more jobs?
- Some water companies import water from places like Fiji and Switzerland. How is that good for the environment? Let's transport volcano water (sorry - artersian water) from across the world so we can feel good when we drink it.
Nobody is forced to change their name when they get married. It's usually part of Christian beliefs. There are cases where the man takes the woman's last name - they just aren't as frequent as the other way around.
How is there sexism in it?
From wikipedia "Sexism, a term coined in the mid-20th century,[1] is the belief or attitude that one gender or sex is inferior to, less competent, or less valuable than the other. It can also refer to hatred of, or prejudice towards, either sex as a whole (see misogyny and misandry), or the application of stereotypes of masculinity in relation to men, or of femininity in relation to women.[2] It is also called male and female chauvinism."
I think better education is needed - not just about semi trucks but about everything driving related.
- I see people merging too early. Ie Merging into the middle lane instead of the right lane.
- People slowing down on the highway instead of on the exit ramp.
- People who don't know how to react at a 4 way stop or when the traffic lights go out.
- Changing lanes without using a blinker
- Driving in the middle and left lanes when not overtaking another vehicle. This one happens so much that I wonder if people even know there is a law against it.
For some reason I think that stricter licensing laws would help with these problems. If we had mandatory re-testing it would be fresh in people's minds and hopefully we could change the behavior that way
I don't think it was wise based on the fact that HP is already spread too thin. I think they should be working to get smaller and focus on core competencies not get bigger and focus on more "things"
I feel that once a company becomes a certain size it looses it ability to be nimble and innovative.
I find it curious that you don't trust the computer very much.
Do you trust the gas gauge, oil gauge and the radio stations or AC temperature? How about the ABS system (assuming car has it if it has a computer that will tell you "miles to empty")
I think you misunderstood the question. Your answer implies a webpage is just as a good as a manual. Manual in this case would seem to mean instruction book. This is not what the question is about.
The question is should there be a way for a human to physically check the oil level in a car instead of relying on the car's onboard computer.
