Cats are proven to cost less annually than dogs. Cats at about 800$ a year with dogs at about 2500$ a year. In addition, dogs have a tendency eat things they should and destroy things because they get bored. Cats rarely get bored, and when they do, they don't destroy their owners houses or dig up their yard. Cats are self-sufficient and are most commonly litter box trained. Dogs will go in their own house. I will give props to dogs for actually knowing their name.

There is a percentage that people who suffer the death penalty where innocent. It costs more tax payer's money to use the capitol punishment than it does to support someone in prison for life. Why kill someone to show that killing is wrong. Confucious once said "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
