So I've heard. I consider myself to be leaning toward utilitarianism. I would rather save one hundred people and the cost of killing ten. All I had to do to persuade various relations was ask this: 1. Your (hypothetical) child is abducted. 2. The kidnapper is caught. 3. He reveales that the child is in a trunk, but refuses to tell you where the car is. 4. What do you do? Do you wait for the child to die and hope that he talks, or do you beat the shit out of this sick son of a bitch and hope that he gives you the truth? Side: yes
