Patents on pollen producing plants.
Monsonto has claimed patent rights over seeds not bought from them, but which were pollentated with pollen from their plants. This has effectivily granted them a monopoly on corn seeds. They have a patent on the "round up ready" seeds, and farmers which never bought their seeds get sued if their plants get cross pollinated with the seeds from a round up ready plant. Is this right, should such plants be considered to fall under monsonto's patent or not?
