I'm not voting yes, but I'm not voting no either. What I am against is parents who vaste all their money at the casino, and the children must find a way to survive without money, because every penny earned will be gambled when dealing with a compulsive gambler. I'm not saying gambling should be banned, but I wish that someone could come up with some sort if the gambler has a family. Maybe a limit or something. Might sound stupid I know but .. it's just really sad for the people who have to suffer for other's entertainment. Side: Yes

Gambling is a symptom, not a problem. Waste your time treating symptoms and you neglect the disease. While the debt and addiction that can accompany gambling are undeniably unfortunate, I fail to see that either offer adequate ground to ban gambling and restrict the freedoms of both individuals and businesses. I think that may be one of the biggest arguments against the banning of gambling. Gambling is a business in itself especially when conducted by a large organization. If one voluntarily chooses to gamble and suffers harsh consequences then that is the fault of the individual. Penalizing the gambling industry seems illogical. Side: No
Largely, I agree. I would point out, however, that the gambling industry is not an entirely innocent party. Gambling addictions are a well-established phenomenon, and the industry goes out of its way to make sure those addictions develop and persist. I do not think this warrants their being banned, but I do find it worthy of mention. Side: Yes
