So many Progressives on this debate site refuse to admit the harm Progressivism causes.
You simply refuse to admit the simple fact that shaming bad behavior works as we have seen for thousands of years when we discipline our children.
We watch and see how children with no discipline at home grow up with many more problems.
As always you give the same rhetoric by saying there will aways be some irresponsble people. OF COURSE THERE WILL! That does not mean we do not try our best to cut those numbers. I said we will always need a safety net for the helpless, but we should always do everything to cut the numbers of able bodied irresponsible people using our system.
Our families are broken many times worse than our past and there is a reason for it. For people like you to just sluff it off as the way it is, is exactly why we have the problem.
Society does not simply grow out of a failed culture.... we are growing INTO IT for a reason and the core reasons MUST BE ADDRESSED for it to ever change!
We even have people blind to the importance of parents teaching our children not to touch a hot iron, but rather allow them to touch the hot iron and learn. Teaching them to stop from doing something sends messages that we should all be careful when it comes to dealing with things that might possibly hurt us.
Guess what? I have never touched a hot iron because my parents loved me enough to teach me before I did.
So tell me how that no fault anything goes thinking has worked for the irresponsible millions choosing to sleep around creating millions of fatherless homes? IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND NO ONE IS LEANRING A THING FROM IT.
You are the perfect example of how people are learning nothing. How come these unwed mothers living off welfare keep getting pregnant over an over? Why haven't they learned not to touch that hot iron?

YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG ABOUT THEM. They use the poor as tools to getting elected, keeping power over the people and pushing their socialistic ideology. Maybe you missed it, under this progressive no fault anything goes morality, we have record numbers of poor people on food stamps.
I'm not talking about making so called moral laws. That is what Democrats constantly do, even going so far as trying to force EVERY public school to allow boys in girls bathrooms.
I'm talking about shaming destructive behavior as we do when teaching our children to never touch a hot iron. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!
