I think that the most influencial technology is the technology that goes into cameras and telescopes. This technology alone allowed scientist to better view both particles and distant galaxies, but also allowed for faster communication of events and made alot of businesses more profitable due to a larger advertising base. Famous people became more famous, sports became more popular, news became more efficent allowing for more coverage, skype communications, and families being able to share more memories. Without the camera we wouldn't be as advanced in technology as we are today.
