What you gain: a notebook that if yu write someone's name in it, they die.
Loyalty: none, he doesn't consider himself to be on any side but his own.
Misc: Demands apples, and only people who touch the death note can see him.

Summoning: specific ritual, with a future goal
What you gain: a demon who will follow your every order
Loyalty: loyal until you attain your goal, at which point he will eat your soul
Misc: extremely fond of cats.

I can use the deathnote to bend people's wills to my hearts content, I can do as what lira did, but instead of just killing off criminals and bad people, I can make their deaths (or try to) beneficial to the rest of humanity somehow through the victims actions, I don't know if I completely morally agree with the workings of the deathnote is the thing. Sebastian, definetly: if you want people dead, you just ask him to kill them! Plus, if you make the goal he is helping you resolve (the one which, when he completes it, he can devour your soul) unreachable, then he'd be your butler for life. Not that I'd do this for real, of course: my cupboard can't feasibly fit any more minions in it. Side: Sebastian
