Yes, i believe it was right. Mainly because we can see the consequences or this kind of common core schooling. When you keep at the pace of the slowest student you deny most kids from excelling, when this happen you graduate less scientists, engineers, and any type of advanced college based education. By bypassing the common core you not only teach your kids to excel, but you teach them to learn differently. School isn't about teaching you THINGS, it is designed to teach you HOW to learn. The subjects they teach you can grab your interest for any kind of college or vocational career, it also increases your overall brain capacity.
