I hate to say it, but trying to be physically perfect IS an obsession. Spending hours every day at the gym lifting weights is obsessive behavior, and not necessary at all to be healthy. In fact in many ways it's entirely counter-productive for your health.
Secondly, weight-lifting doesn't really make you stronger; it just allows you to lift weights in that specific way, over and over again. The muscles you're working just inflate with blood and -look- strong.
Working out every day is perfectly healthy and normal. Body building is excessive and narcissistic. Trying to be perfect is narcissism.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
