Capitalism isn't a philosophy. Philosophies are philosophies. Capitalism is simply the voluntary exchange of goods between two people or entities. It's happened since the beginning of human kind. Greed isn't capitalism, and capitalism isn't greed. They are two separate things all together. Communism has greed. Utopianism of any and all kinds has greed. Despotism has greed. None of things are greed, nor is greed all of those things. Greed is greed. Monkeys have no philosophy or economic system, yet they steal from each other all of the time. The exchange wasn't voluntary, so it wasn't capitalism. The monkey just stole the other monkey's food because it felt like it. Capitalism wasn't involved.
China is Communist, and they pollute more than Europe and the United States combined. It's not capitalism that pollutes. It's people who choose to pollute that pollute. Capitalism is simply the voluntary exchange of good by two people or entities.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
