Well, not all of them were bought in a market place but most of them were bought which means that there is no way to return them.
I agree because more people live there so that means more people visit.
The reason they should stay in Britain is because in source #9 states that there is lots of poverty and war in the country. It also says that Africa does not have the right "Institutions and Resources to protect these precious works." But one of the things stand out most to me is that they are questioning the ownership since almost all of them are bought from the market and the people who bought them are dead.
In source #1 it says that a person who was born in Britain said "These treasures belong in Africa, as that's where they were looted from,' says British-born Pankhurst..." This statement proves that people in Africa want there artifacts back and some people who are living in the place where they are now wish they could return the artifacts back to the place where they were created.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
