Without taxes, there wouldn't be a road for you to drive on or a school for you to go to. Taxes pay for things that you use every single day. If we didn't pay taxes our world would be completely different.
Even though taxes, in the moment of getting your check, can seem like a bad thing, they are really not. Taxes provide citizens with such a better society to live in. Taxes benefit every citizen, rich or poor. Taxes pay for things like our roads, education systems, military, and our local first responders. Without them, we would not get to live in the growing, prosperous city that we have today.
