I don't completly oppose the name change, only what was selected. I would much rather have something like, JESA. At least could have added, The to the name. It seems to simple and the fact that 'The' is left off of the name just cuts it down more. It is less professional. I feel we could find a good way to honor him and his service, just as honorable as changing the name of The Academy. That's as for the name change. There could be some other collective things that could be done. Such as a new elementary school, the Ad building's name changed (since it is the head of the schools), the Iriving School's Stadium, a montument/statue, or a display-memorial type thing dedicated to him made. Also, he rejected having any building named after him. In order to respect his wishes something completely unique and different could be done for him. When other ideas were suggested they were put down because it was said to not be enough. Well not only doesn't it not follow general rules of the naming system, where high schools are named after national heroes, and against his wishes, he could always do something better. Even the fauculty themselves feel that their voices weren't heard and there wasn't much room for debate or negociation.
