Even if it is barren land and not of much use to the Indians, the Chinese should have still negotiated with them as the Indians might haven had a plan for Aksai Chin in the future and make good use of it. Just claiming Aksai Chin for itself without negotiating with India is a bad move by China.
Being social on the internet is not being social at all. You might talk to many people online, but this does not mean you are very social and a lot of friends. It might just be allowing us to talk to people we don't know, but we do not become close to them at all.
No, we might be "social" online, but we are being antisocial in real life with everyone else we are with at the point of moment. Us being "social" online makes us less social in real life, which defeats the purpose of us being social online.
I believe that Social Media has made us less social. For an example, us using Facebook, posting statuses and pictures do not allow us to be closer to people. They make us seem far away from many, or make us feel that we do not have many friends, posting statuses on Facebook. Also, Twitter allows us to only rant about things and reply to people. However, replying to others on Twitter does not mean we are friends with them, we might just be clarifying something. iChat, too, makes us less social. Talking to friends on the internet might make us awkward with the person in real life, as we might be different from when we are online. We also cannot become closer to others through social media, unless we are sharing heartfelt feelings with our good friends whom we also talk to in real life. This is why I think social media makes us less social in real life, tweeting and posting statuses aimlessly.
