Jackson's remarks weren't just crude, they were vile and vicious. Maybe I'm overly sensitive but I just don't find cracks about castration funny, and much less useful in anything resembling serious political discussion or civil discourse. A small irony it seems to me is that it was said by one black man about another. He might as easily have suggested lynching. The Reverend Jesse Jackson is a jackass, an opportunist, and a phony. Remember Hymietown? Ignore him already. Move on.
