How do you reconcile the Theistic platform with the Veil of Ignorance Thought Experiment?
What is the veil of ignorance? The veil of ignorance, along with the original position, is a method of determining the morality of a certain issue (e.g., slavery) based upon the following thought experiment: parties to the original position know nothing about their particular abilities, tastes, and position within the social order of societyWhat is the original position? The original position is a central feature of John Rawls's social contract account of justice, “justice as fairness,” set forth in A Theory of Justice (TJ). It is designed to be a fair and impartial point of view that is to be adopted in our reasoning about fundamental principles of justice.Given that the Veil of Ignorance is a thought experiment designed to create the most Moral of possible societies, and that the Theistic platform is in direct conflict with it, how do you reconcile this fact without generating an error in the experiments model?
