Hello MP: If all the ice was UNDER the surface, you'd be right. It wouldn't raise the water level when it melts.... But, the ice that's gonna melt is ABOVE the water, and when it melts, sea levels will rise.. Think of it this way... Your glass is full of water and ice.. IF you add MORE ice, it's gonna overflow.
