It depends. Are they being ordered to protect the country or practice enforcing a police state or a mass genocide? The question itself depends on political ideology. For example, the American military was told it was protecting America by invading Iraq. In reality, it was enforcing an American-led police state. Side: Yes.. It's a democracy, right

So what type of state was Iraq under when Saddam Hussein was in power? Let's step back and see. Saddam ruled with brutal force, killed his own people and invaded other countries. So when America invaded Iraq, it essentially invaded the equivalent of Nazi Germany. Side: Uhhhh, NO
