Either remove the "ban" capability or keep it in the hands of a completely independent moderator. Giving the person who launches a debate the ability to shut down anyone who disagrees with them on their debate simply leads to abuse of the power. In fact I have not witnessed a single instance where I thought what a person actually said deserved to be banned. I haven't seen threats. I haven't seen personal information being leaked. In reality the bans are just a way a person can throw a stink bomb and then shield themselves from any blowback on it. And one more thing. If the "ban" capability were removed I predict in less than a year you'd see a completely different caliper of debater and debates in this site. The people throwing hissy fit debates would either be gone or marginalized. The only way they survive is by blocking their most successful opponents. 1

Not recently, but there have been some problems in the past with spam, and people overloading debates with nonsense, meaningless comments, or in some cases, abuse. In these situations, the ban feature is rather nice. Also Andy, who runs the site, is unlikely to make any such major changes. Partly because I'm fairly certain he thinks the ban feature is necessary, and partly because he is not a coder and is unlikely to hire someone to edit the site once more. 1

Actually, I have been pondering the ability for anyone to participate in a debate by providing the ability to up or down vote (vote yeah or nay to any debate). This would allow everyone a single vote on each debate, create additional interest and traffic to the site and encourage others to participate. That is something I would put $s into. well how about the ability to have a debate in real time like a colored ball next to a debate that is currently having more than two people on it so its not like a mail system pin pal ....in here it sometimes feels like your debating a prison pin pal.....also I don't like how some people straight up post bullshit data ....and don't have away of fact checking there lies ..and misquotes ...some people on here really think they are smart but don't have a clue what they are saying they throw out these flash bang grenades of thought ...by flash bang I mean they put out noise and light but unless your a complete retard its harmless and when you call them on it they slither away not taking any responsibility for a lost debate or improper facts...I think if you are on a debate and put up debunked or questionable science or math or use misquotes ...you should lose points and have a notation next to your lies and misinformation...these debates are kinda only skin deep ...not a lot of meat here ....im losing interest Great idea!!!!! I love the mode to be able to debate is real time!! Why? Simple. We could tell how much somebody really knew about a topic, since they would not have time to look it up or Google it. And works both ways!! I have long claimed to be a science expert. A doctoral candidate in Biology. So some of you doubters could ask me anything you want and I'd prove my knowledge in real time. Then we would really get an idea of who knows what around here! Separate the experts from the posers. Bring it on!!! I would like to see the science forum improved. Vastly! In both quality and usage. We have an egregious dearth here of science geeks like me. Seems all most of you every want to talk about in science is the old hackneyed creation vs evolution thing. Which was cool. The first 200 times! Now it's a yawn. The zealots wont listen anyway. As far as proving evolution I have listed links and facts dozens of times. That the zealots wont read or heed or even consider. I would like to see more math stuff as well. Which I tried the other day on that Decimal v fraction debate. Thought that cat named jerber might engage my offer. Seemed like he knew a little. But now I read hes a sky god believer too. From the Satanism thread. Bummer. To me a believer is a deal breaker as far as a person being scientifically savvy. They ARE diametyrically opposed! More math debates? Well, why don't you create some? Let's see, maybe which is cooler, integration or differentiation? Is that the kinda math problem? Or Will Hilbert's Problems Be Solved by Man or by Machine? To me a believer is a deal breaker as far as a person being scientifically savvy. The problem with this site is that most people here are idiots (I mean, sky god believers). I have tried to do math debates and usually get no takers. And re Hilbert's problem...... Which one? He did an essay that originally presented 23! But I am assuming you are referring to his Tenth Problem? The one about diaphontine equations? And if they could be solved with rational integers? (A polynomial equation with rational coefficients). Let me know. It's scalar not scaler. ....................................... We also sometimes call it zero point energy. Most likely propagated by quantum electro magnetics. And what I like about working with proofs and equations in that discipline is that we get to use Fourier Equations which I have always enjoyed. Yeah..people really ARE this smart, bro. Hail Satan! I sold my soul to be a math and science genius. LOL 2

When creating a for or against debate, I would like to see more choices than basically yes or no; I would like to give more than 2 choices for respondents to answer to. Also, I would like it if more characters were allowed in choices box; sometimes the choices I give require more characters the the number allotted. 1

I've been on other forums that allowed for this and it worked out just fine. They came with stats, breakdowns on demographics, percentages and many other ways that were relevant and useful. For example- Who would you vote for if the election were held today? Sanders, Trump, Clinton, Cruze or Kaisic; that would be 5 choices complete with stats all in one question. Ok I'm just going to say how about we stop talking past ideas past beliefs non of us will ever believe the other so how about we actual produce something ....there is a way to store unlimited energy in a fourth dimension and realise it on circuit completion and this can be done point to point in longitudinal waves and the dimensional power source is great than the strong forces of physics. ....if we a small few can work on this we are the next fucking bill gates of micro soft ....only with way more power .....we can shut down the banks and the war complex by empowering the individual in a dimension that is not under current law guide lines .....it's the ultimate international waters loop whole ever .....Oh and we can store info in there as well .....we can free ourselves from the slave masters and end war and need of cops or soldiers ...Tesla was working on a dome to end war but I offer if people can self heal and communicate without electronic devices and energy is always in store ready to go we won't pollute or buy energy ....
